Geography.

Located in the southern portion of the island, it is the only municipality of this area that lacks a coastline. With a surface area of 56, 26 Km 2, an altitude of 1 400 m and a population of 1 798. It is 80 Km away from de Santa Cruz de Tenerife by road.

To the north it limits with La Orotava , to the east it is separated from Granadilla de Abona mainly by the Erís Canyon,. To the south are San Miguel and Arona, while to the west the King’s Canyon marks the boundary with Adeje.
